Luke Littler confronts his rival and calls him ‘arrogant’ after his Belgian Open victory clinched his first European Tour title in Belgium on Sunday.

Littler fired nine darts to beat Rob Cross in the Belgian Open final at Wiese, but his victory was somewhat marred by the unpleasant scenes that followed the cover. He defeated Ricardo Pietreczko in the semi-finals.



The World Championship finalist beat Pietreczko 7-4, then clashed with the German player Littler on stage, the two talking to each other and shaking hands in tense moments.



Pietreczko, 29, leaned towards Littler, who looked surprised by the argument.

Pietreczko later said in an Instagram post: "I'm very proud of him for playing like that at this age (young), but I hope that pride punishes him."

Littler responded by writing on Twitter: "I don't know what I did wrong, I don't know what you said, so don't do that again."

Littler also made his World Series debut by throwing nine darts in the win and said afterwards: "I'm happy to have crossed the finish line."

Despite the defeat, Cross had nothing but praise for Littler: "He worked really hard," Cross said.
